the Interim Report Key Figures Addiction Care 2016-2021 was published on 22 March 2023. No figures could be published for the past six years due to the lack of an additional legal basis.

The amendment to the law (amendment of the Wkkgz) that created a basis for the processing of personal data entered into force on 1 July 2022, allowing data collection to be started again. This break has taken its toll. The figures supplied by some institutions showed an under-registration. Nevertheless, the enclosed publication provides a good picture of the movements and trends in the nature and extent of the care demand within addiction care.

The next edition of the Key Figures for Addiction Care will follow in the autumn of 2023, with enriched and improved data, in which the figures for 2022 have also been supplemented.
